What a Buyer Needs to Know
Welcome! We are so happy to have you shop with us. Here are a few things you need to know when shopping this unique pop-up sale!
Almost every item listed is unique and many are in high demand. Even with a presale pass, you will likely not be able to purchase every item you want. Have your account created and your cart ready to go so you can check out quickly. An item is not yours until you have received confirmation that you have purchased it. It can be quite exciting to see which items you end up with!
We may have slightly different definitions of item conditions. This is how Kids Fair defines item conditions:
New with Tags (NWT): Items are brand new, MUST have tags or packaging in place
Excellent Used Condition (EUC): Items have had tags and packaging removed, used once or twice, and are in excellent/perfect condition, no wear, damage, or flaws. Items that are New Without Tags (NWOT) are included under EUC
Very Good Used Condition (VGUC): Items have been used and may have minor signs of use like small scratch or scuff, a game box with dents or some damage, small scratches or small dents to a toy but are in perfect working condition.
- For Clothing: the item has been worn and has minor wear like piling in high friction areas, wash wear/fading/minor graphic cracking. There are no stains, holes, rips, tears or excessive wear.
- For Shoes: they have been worn, and have minor wear including small scuffs, minimal wear to soles, there are no stains, holes, rips, tears or any excessive wear (some shoes like Heyfolks will have staining on soles due to fabric type)
How do discount days work? You will find listed items priced as low as $5.00. On Saturday many items are discounted by UP TO 25%. On Sunday, items may be discounted by UP TO 50% off the original listing price (not on top of 25% off), as low as $5.00. Just because an item is discounted on Saturday, does mean it will be further discounted on Sunday. It is up to each consignor which of their items are discounted.
Your orders will all be packaged together - In trying to reduce our footprint, we will be packing your items in one Kids Fair bag and then using boxes or reusable bags after that. If you would like to bring your own bags or bins to pick up, please do!
Item Inspections: Buyers are expected to take the time at pickup to look through and examine all items that do not require unboxing or setting up. There will be space for you to do this. Any issues noted should be reported at that time to a Kids Fair Team Member. For the other items, you will have 24 hours after receiving your items to contact us with any issues. After that, we cannot offer any refunds.
Consignors agree to sell their best stuff. We do our best to inspect the majority of items, however on occasion we do miss things. Due to volume, clothing and shoes are not inspected when brought to us so please make sure you look through your all of your purchases.
Pickup: Pick up is on Thursday, October 10th from 8am - 8pm at the Marda Loop Community Centre (3130 16th St SW). Please book your pickup time - CLICK HERE.
Delivery: We do offer delivery in Calgary City Limits for $25. Please note that large items (eg. cribs) may require an additional delivery charge.
